Even on a rainy afternoon, the women of the all-female 10 Collective exude a brightness that gives their group studio environment a comfortable, yet active atmosphere. While the ten graduates of the London College of Communication emerged from the same graphic design Masters Degree program, their unique work styles lend themselves to fostering a common ethos within their collective studio.
The sounds of light, girly chatter fill pockets of 10 Collective’s studio in South London. Women move from their individual desks to their neighbouring studio mate’s to offer advise, crack a joke or catch up. The ladies opened their studio in May 2010, midway through their MA program at LCC. They say the space provided them with a safe-haven during their hectic course demands.
